INTRODUCTION
In today's world of high technology, mobile computing has become the most omnipresent medium for so many different applications. From the simple downloading of the mp3s of the youth to downloading business application/software of the professionals, or from simply carrying out transactions to videoconferencing by the career people to simply having fun with a number of social networking sites, it is simply a part of the lives of the majority using any internet-connected computers or mobile handsets.

Types of Mobile Computing



Types of Mobile Computing:

·      Nomadic Computing:
A wired core network with a wireless periphery

·      Ad Hoc Computing:
Opportunistic temporary networks where all hosts are wireless mobile devices



There are at least three different classes of mobile computing items:
·       Portable computers, compacted lightweight units including a full character set keyboard and primarily intended as hosts for software that may be parameterized, as laptops, notebooks, notepads, etc.

·       Mobile phones including a restricted key set primarily intended but not restricted to for vocal communications, as cell phones, smart phones, phone pads, etc.


·       Wearable computers mostly limited to functional keys and primarily intended as incorporation of software agents, as watches, wristbands, necklaces, keyless implants, etc.
