Pixel
Physical point in a raster image, or the smallest addressable element in an all points addressable display device.
* 1 bit = 2 colours
* 4 bits = 16 colours
* 8 bits = 256 colours
* 16 bits = 65,536 colours
* 24 bits = over 16 million colours
Relationship between resolution, on screen size and print size
on screen size / resolution = printed width
resolution = 300 pixels per inch for printing
= 72 pixels per inch for display
